Since late 2019 and early 2020, China has been suffering from the pandemic. Yet the country managed to maintain a stable mortality rate after one year. The death rate has decreased to a large extent, compared to that of which in early 2020. The success was due to the deprived freedom of Chinese citizens. Quarantine is compulsory after intimate contact with infected people. If you came from other countries, you are obliged to stay in hotels for collective quarantine. This usually lasts for 14 days, yet the fees are self-paid. Families are not allowed to stay together unless there’s a child not exceeding 3 years old. During these two weeks, you are not allowed to step out of the room assigned to you even if you are tested negative during the daily NAT test. Meals will be sent to you like takeouts. After that, you would be sent home for self-quarantine. This period lasts for one week. The community volunteers would visit your home with NAT tests from time to time. If you are tested positive during this period, you would have to self-quarantine for a longer time, during which they would visit you from time to time. In addition, the government also promotes injecting vaccines. However, the success of the soundless campaign is compensation for the deaths in the early stage of the pandemic. The struggle was successfully overcome, but in a way that threatened a large number of citizens.
