Keke Palmer is an actress, singer and the youngest tv host. She’s African-American, and has won and been nominated for quite a few awards. I idolise Keke because of how she broke social norms, her attitude, and her overall personality. She’s not afraid to bring out the African in her at events, rocking hairstyles like afros, faux locs, braids and more without caring about those who hate on her. She always speaks her mind to show what she believes is right and wrong and I really admire her for that. She was part of the Nickelodeon family in her teen years, as a child actor.
Keke Palmer Me (Interviewer)
Interview
Hello and good morning Miss Keke Palmer.
Heyy, good to be here, how are you?
I’m good and you?
I'm absolutely peachy girl, and let me just say you look gorgeous.
Haha, so do you, Miss Palmer. So Miss Palmer, I’m sure you’ve seen what’s been going on social media recently. What are your thoughts on people comparing your career to that of Zendaya’s?
First off, I do not appreciate the comparison and how people are labelling my girl Zendaya as “one of the clearest examples of how colorism plays out in Hollywood.” No, she worked hard to get to where she is right now, and so did I. The only difference between us is probably her being a Disney baby and me being a Nickelodeon one.
Haha that is true. You were in the 2012 nickelodeon movie Rags, the female lead?
Yes that’s right.
As well as the 2019 drama film Hustlers alongside other celebrities such as Cardi B, Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu?
Yes and let me tell you, filming that movie was fun. My castmates are extremely talented and hilarious. Just imagine Cardi and I doing her famous tongue thing 24/7 and Lizzo and I getting it down!
Oh my gosh I could just picture that. Now Miss Palmer-
Call me Keke you’re making me feel old!
Haha sorry Miss Palmer, I mean Keke. A lot of people are claiming your new upcoming movie, #NOPE is going to be your big breakthrough compared to Zendaya, who’s been smooth sailing it. What are your thoughts on that?
Okay so, remind me to tweet what I’m about to say alright? You know, for those who don’t watch TV much. A great example of colorism is to believe I can be compared to anyone. I’m the youngest talk show host ever. The first Black woman to star in her own show on Nickelodeon, & the youngest & first Black Cinderella on broadway. I’m an incomparable talent. Baby, THIS, is Keke Palmer.
100%!! My forever black queen. I can’t say how much I admire you, you’re an inspiration to so many other black queens Keke. And can I just say how much I love your hair!! Those butt-length braids frame your face beautifully. And your skin girl, you’re just glowing!
Gosh thank you darling, you’re almost making me shy, NOT. (strikes a pose)
Okay that’s all I have for you tonight Keke. Thanks so much for coming!
Pleasure’s all mine. Hit me up sometime soon, let's go have some girls night out!
Of course! Thank you so much!
Bye y’all, and hey, remember to learn to love yourself and all that other stuff will not matter.
