Most of the people walking this earth have learnt the art of being inspired. The art of being inspired means, to my individual interpretation, experiencing persons or creations that influence you, because you respect this or believe that this thing that inspired you can contribute to the world. Moreover, there are other reasons why a person can feel inspired by something or someone, but the result is always either a new addition to our universe or a new thought or state of mind.
Being original can espouse something else. Being unoriginal, too. I believe that all of the beautiful things in the world are there to make the world a better place, or to romanticise life for the dreamers among us. Whenever creation is experienced, I hope society will allow itself to be inspired, and to build on what we have. I am inspired by an artist called Froukje. The Lumineers, too. The sculptures of Janet Echemlan, the Harry Potter series, music of The Beatles, Utopia Avenue by David Mitchell and my closest friends. By the beautiful landscape of Tanzania, by the city Arusha, in which I live. By the mountain I look at every day when I walk to dinner. The water I am grateful to drink, and the smell of morning, even when I am tired. I don't ever want to limit the inspiration acquired from all the life around us. Therefore, when the question ‘what/who inspires you the most comes forward, there shouldn’t be an answer. Ode to the limitless inspiration.
