TAKEN AGAINST HER WISH

Usman Nyallay, Grade 11
UWCEA Arusha Campus

She is  beautiful, young and naïve
She knows not how to leave
All she does is believe
All she needs is to be loved
All she wants is to be received
But her innocence you have stolen
Her pride and dignity you have taken
Her trust you have broken
And all of it you see as a token
Her unhappy, lonely and extinctic side you have awoken
She screams but no one to her rescue
She pleads but no mercy she is shown
All she can do is lie helplessly and hope
Hopes of which none will come to reality
And now she thinks if this is what she deserves
Your urge and ego you have satisfied
Left in pain and agony
As her eyes rain washing her dreams away
With all the injuries on her innocent body
She goes out to the world, thinking of how to end it all
Telling her story to people they say is its untrue
Left in turmoil, depression then shows its unruly face
And now she is left to drown in her own dilemma
She soars and mourns in pain
An experience that will forever taunt her
Even though she tries to forget
A side of her mind always triggers the sad memory
She is unable to continue
And she decides to put a stop to her pain.
