A colour of positivity and tranquillity,
The colour green fills the nation.
From the grasses low to the mountains high,
Green engulfs our flora.
‘Tis the season of hope, growth, and new beginnings, all things that Mother Nature seems to be hinting at.
But is she aware of the contrasted reality
With which we are faced?
A colour of positivity and tranquillity,
The colour green fills the nation.
Is it not ironic how the season we are facing is anything but green?
We are engulfed not by positivity and tranquillity, but by fear and uncertainty.
And hope. Hope for the unknown that is yet to come.
A pandemic is what we are experiencing, a global tragedy.
Who would have ever thought that this is what our 2020 vision would reveal?
A colour of positivity and tranquillity,
The colour green does not describe our global village.
Or does it?
Nations are devastated, left in awe.
Our families are terrified, our leaders more so.
“What next? How will this end?
When will our lives go back to normal?”
All questions that everybody is asking one another.
Isolation and hope are our only answers.
Mother Nature is communicating,
Telling us that the advent of hope and new beginnings are inevitable.
Just like the seasons of the Earth, This will all come to pass.
A colour of positivity and growth,
The colour green engulfs our flora.
From the grasses below to the mountains high,
Before the rains, her children lack life.
Slowly deteriorating, Mother Nature wonders
What the future holds for her comrades.
Patience is all it took, and endurance too.
United by more than biological traits,
Her children have a common yearning, a mutual goal.
And so together they wait.
A colour of positivity and growth,
The colour green is all around.
Just as nature is in unison of some sort,
So is the world at this point.
Hopeful is what we should feel,
tranquillity and growth are our aims.
We are in this together, you are not
Alone.
Just as it must rain before the Sun shines
And the plants grow,
Such is the nature of our situation.
Rain is not eternal, and neither is sunshine.
Patience, hope, and endurance.
A colour of positivity and tranquillity,
The colour green is all around.
Mother Nature communicates, but not verbally.
Aquamarine, viridescent, and sage — a few of
her displays.
